Avico Electronics Warranty Statement

Warranty Period
Avico Electronics warrants that its products and services are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery.

Warranty Coverage
During this period, Avico Electronics will repair or replace, at its discretion, any defective product or re-perform any services that fail to meet the agreed specifications, at no additional cost to the customer.

Manufacturer Warranty Statement – Addendum

Manufacturer Warranty
Some products supplied by Avico Electronics may include a manufacturer’s warranty that extends beyond Avico Electronics’ own 12-month warranty period (for example, a 3-year warranty on certain displays and panels). This manufacturer warranty is provided by the product manufacturer directly (such as Samsung, Philips, or LG) and is separate from Avico Electronics’ own warranty.

Support for Manufacturer Warranty

  • During Avico Electronics’ 12-month warranty period, we will coordinate with the manufacturer on your behalf if needed, to help facilitate any warranty claims.

  • After the 12-month Avico Electronics warranty period ends, you may still be entitled to warranty service from the manufacturer. In these cases, the customer is responsible for lodging claims directly with the manufacturer.

  • Avico Electronics is happy to provide contact details or assist with documentation if required.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Where applicable, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Commercial Transactions and ACL Exclusions
Avico Electronics primarily supplies goods and services to business customers (B2B) for use in trade, commerce, and commercial applications.

In these cases:

  • The statutory consumer guarantees under the ACL does not apply to these goods or services where they are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use or consumption; and/or
  • Where the goods or services are acquired for the purpose of resupply, or for use or transformation in trade, commerce, or production.

Site Works and Call-Out Fees
For onsite support beyond what is required to comply with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (where applicable), Avico Electronics will charge a call-out fee of $465.00 (ex. GST), which includes the first hour onsite. Additional time onsite will be charged in 15-minute increments at a rate of $195.00 per hour (ex. GST).

Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper installation.
  • Consumables, software, or items subject to normal wear and tear.
  • Third-party equipment not supplied by Avico Electronics.

Claims Procedure
To make a warranty claim, please contact Avico Electronics using the contact details provided on your invoice. You may be required to provide proof of purchase.

Refunds and returns

Our refund and returns policy lasts 14 days from the date of purchase. If 14 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a full refund or exchange except where required by Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition as when you received it, and in its original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned under our policy:

  • Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or newspapers/magazines)

  • Intimate or sanitary goods (e.g. undergarments)

  • Hazardous materials

  • Flammable liquids or gases

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards

  • Downloadable software products

  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be granted (where applicable) in the following situations:

  • Books with obvious signs of use

  • CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, software, video games, cassette tapes, or vinyl records that have been opened

  • Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error

  • Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery


Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email that we have received your returned item. We will also inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed and automatically applied to your original method of payment within 7–10 business days (depending on your financial institution).


Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet:

  1. Check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your credit card company—it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

  3. Contact your bank—processing times vary.

Sale Items

Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded unless required by law (e.g. ACL guarantees).


Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, email us at support@avico.com.au and send your item to Unit 1, 45A Eastern Creek Highway, Eastern Creek NSW 2766.


Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift at the time of purchase, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send the refund to the gift giver.


Shipping Returns

To return your product, mail it to: Unit 1, 45A Eastern Creek Highway, Eastern Creek NSW 2766.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on your location, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
